Buckeye
Walnut Creek Farm is located on 91 acres on the scenic Scioto River in
Central Ohio. We are considered a mid size farm with approximately
80 to 125 mature horses/ponies and foals at any given time.
Our farm is dedicated to producing top quality, affordable miniature
horses and classic shetlands in a variety of sizes and colors. We
annually benchmark our breeding program by exhibiting our offspring in
the highest levels of competition in both halter and performance
divisions.
For
the past 40+ years, a variety of different breeds of horses and ponies
have been a part of our family for 4 generations. We have owned,
bred and/or exhibited in a variety of disciplines, (from Rodeo to Hunter
over fences) Arabians, Appaloosas, Shetlands, American Saddlebreds,
Paints, and Quarter Horses since the mid 1960s. In the early
1980's, we showed extensively on the Arabian circuit throughout the East
Coast and won several Regional, State Championships and National honors.
Then in the early 1990's miniature horses arrived on our farm followed
shortly by classic Shetlands.

Our farm strives to
produce miniature horses and ponies with proportionate Arabian like
conformation who have fluid full-size horse movement, eager to please
dispositions, and eye-catching color. We specialize in 32 to 34 A size
AMHA/AMHR miniatures, 35 to 38 B size AMHR/ASPC dual registered
miniatures –Classic shetlands and 42 to 46 Classic Shetlands.
